 uxnaw Lodge is an attractive gabled Victorian house, with spectacular views of Kenmare River and Suspension Bridge. Located just 10 mins walk from Kenmare town centre, the property is set at the foot of Muxnaw mountain, in a 3-acre private garden.
The house was built in 1801 as a summer hunting and fishing residence for the Calverley family.
It was converted for accommodation purposes by the current occupiers, the Boland family. It has been decorated with careful attention to detail and includes many period antiques.

Muxnaw Lodge takes it's name from the Gaelic "Snamh an muc" - swim of the pigs. The area was where farmers would swim their pigs accross the river on their way to market in Kenmare.
It is situated on the Castletownbere Road (R571) and is an ideal base for touring the Ring-Of-Beara, Ring-Of-Kerry, Gap-of-Dunloe, Healy's Pass, Glengariff and Killarney.
The walk to the town center allows harbour views and an easy detour to ReenaGros Park and Sheen Woods for a peaceful meander by the river bank.
Kenmare features many local attractions such as the Heritage Centre, Stone Circle, Dereen Gardens and Seafari Cruises. There are a range of Galleries, Shops and renowned restaurants. |

Muxnaw Lodge includes 5 spacious guest rooms, of varying styles, some with views of Kenmare River and bridge. All rooms are en suite.
